Our story

Glenys opened the shop in 2012 to sell wool, cotton, linen, silk and as many natural fibres as possible.  With a background in education, classes have always been important.

Having the exclusive access to yarns and patterns from the large US company, Plymouth Yarn (PY) was an important statement of the type of yarns the shop stocked.  PY also had an extensive range of patterns sold exclusively through Ravelry (the online pattern site) in local yarn stores, in the US.  Snowdonia Wool became part of that scheme and now has access to patterns, not available elsewhere in the UK.

The shop has a popular knit together group (K2tog) in the Bull Hotel in Abergele, events such as a local residential retreat and competitions.

New events!

The covid 19 crisis has meant that home deliveries within walking distance of the shop and curbside collections have begun and have spurred Glenys to begin work towards opening on an online shop.
